Pennsylvania farmers and their employees are at risk of suffering serious injuries during their normal activities on a daily basis. A 58-year-old Franklin County farmer recently died in an accident on a farm where he lived. An incident report by the Pennsylvania State Police indicates that a call about the accident was logged at about 2 p.m. on a recent Saturday afternoon. They responded to the scene to find the farmer had succumbed to his injuries.
Reportedly, a piece of equipment that was very heavy fell on the man while he was working with it. He suffered fatal injuries, and he was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities said no crime is suspected, and the death was ruled accidental. It was not mentioned whether the deceased man was the owner of the farm or an employee.
