Early morning commutes sometimes involve increased traffic and delays for Pennsylvania drivers. These delays can worsen if there is a serious accident on the roadway. Most car accidents do not only affect those directly involved but the scene of the accident and other drivers on the roadway could also be impacted. A multi-vehicle collision could involve several victims, serious injuries, include bystanders and damage public and private property.
An early morning crash in Yeadon has authorities investigating the multi-vehicle collision. At around 5 a.m. near the intersection of Lansdowne Avenue and Lincoln Avenue several vehicles collided. One of the involved vehicles stuck a nearby dumpster and shed. Emergency crews were called to the scene in order to assess the injuries. A driver of one of the vehicles was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Details surrounding the accident were not reported at this time. The number of vehicles and victims was not indicated and the preliminary report did not suggest a cause. Investigation is ongoing in order to determine the cause of the collision. The investigation could also determine fault and liability. If a driver is negligent and causes an accident, those affected and injured in the collision could have a cause of action. A personal injury claim could help recover compensation for expenses such as medical bills, damages and pain and suffering.
Whether a driver is traveling during the day or night, it is important for drivers to be cautious. This includes watching speeds and not using a cell phone while behind the wheel. A distracted driver could cause a serious accident and could hurt a number of people.
