Two young girls die in two-car collision in Pennsylvania

No matter the age, the death of a loved one is not only tragic, but it is also life altering. Car accidents that result in the death of young children are not only emotional and taxing on the parents of the children, but it can be financially burdensome. The loss of a young life in any type of accident does carry large amounts of emotional weight throughout the mourning process. Unfortunately, this process could be prolonged if the accident results in a lengthy investigation and if any claims are filed.

A two-car collision in eastern Pennsylvania resulted in the death of two young girls. The automobile crash happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Route 61. Both drivers of the vehicles were transported to hospitals. The two young girls were flown to the hospital. It is not reported what vehicle the two girls were passengers of. In addition, while it was reported that the two girls lived at the same address, their relationship was not established in this report.

The 6-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly before 4 p.m., only a few hours after being transported to the hospital. The 3-year-old girl was pronounced dead before 3:30 p.m. the following day. Details surrounding the incident have not been reported at this time. Any information regarding the cause of the collision was also not reported.

In cases like these, the family of deceased victims may be able to file a wrongful death claim. The suit could result in an award that could go towards medical bills, funeral costs and other losses.

After a car accident, the process to investigate and litigate the incident can be lengthy. This can extend and prolong the emotional response to a fatal automobile accident.
