Truck accident leads to two injuries

On Behalf of | Apr 9, 2013 | Uncategorized |

The injuries that occur from an accident can be critical and life threatening. A truck accident can create a massive accident site with severe damages, serious injuries and fatalities. A collision that occurs between these tremendous vehicles can often leave the other automobile significantly damaged. The ability to control a truck, abruptly reduce speeds and stop is different from other vehicles and this could often be the reason for an accident involving a semi-truck or tractor-trailer.

A multivehicle collision involving a box truck, a tanker truck and numerous automobiles occurred in the southbound lanes on the Northeast Extension in Whitpain Township. The crash occurred at around 5:00 a.m. and when emergency crews arrived, they evaluated those involved in the incident. Two people suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital. The severity of these injuries or if others were injured have not been released at this time. Traffic going southbound on the Extension was blocked while crews worked at cleaning the accident site and clearing away and debris that could pose hazards to other drivers. This truck crash that involved multiple vehicles is under investigated. Authorities are unable to purport the cause of the incident at this time.

A person injured in an accident like this could file a personal injury claim. Being treated for the injuries suffered from the incident can cause financial burdens. Compensation from the claim could assist with paying medical bills, rehabilitation, lost wages and pain and suffering.

The aftermath of a truck collision can be severe especially when it involves multiple vehicles. Watching speeds and avoiding texting while driving could help reduce the chances of becoming involved in an accident.
