An accident can happen at a moment’s notice making them very unpredictable. Drivers and passengers cannot determine when or if they will be in a car accident, but they can prepare and reduce their chances of being injured. Wearing a seatbelt in very important and a type of safety restraint should always be used when inside a vehicle that is being operated. No matter how hard or where the vehicles collide, a car crash can result in serious injuries and severe damage — even with seatbelt use.
A late night two-car accident happened in Bucks County. At around 11:15 p.m., the two cars collided head-on while they were traveling on Route 611. When emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident, they encountered a wreck that seriously injured both drivers. One of the drivers was not wearing a seatbelt, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown via helicopter to the hospital for the serious injuries suffered. The other driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was also flown to the hospital for critical injuries.
The investigation of the accident is ongoing and officers are still unsure about the cause of the incident. The scene of the wreck was severe and authorities were not able to decipher which direction either of the vehicles was traveling in or which vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines causing them to collide head-on.
A person injured in an accident like this could seek compensation through a personal injury claim in order to cover the costs incurred by the accident. Financial burdens could arise from medical bills, rehabilitation, lost wages and damages. The compensation from the suit could help cover those costs and others caused by the accident.
