SUV and two motorcycles collide, killing five

Pennsylvania residents are well aware that they have an option to choose from different forms of transportation. Depending on their destination, a car, bus or train might be more practical. In some cases, traveling by motorcycle is not only convenient but also enjoyable. Although commonly driven for fun, these small vehicles can pose huge risks. When they are involved in a crash, even when a biker and their passenger are wearing a helmet, they could still suffer serious injuries or even death.

Authorities in Washington Township recently responded to a fatal accident that involved two motorcycles and an SUV. According to preliminary reports, the motorcycle crash happened when all three vehicles - traveling in the same direction - collided. It was not immediately clear how the accident occurred.

The two motorcyclists, the two passengers on the bikes and a passenger from the SUV were killed in the crash. The investigation is still ongoing for this tragic accident that took five lives. Following the completion of the investigation, cause, fault and liability could be attributed.

A driver at fault in a fatal accident could be liable for all the resulting deaths, injuries and damages. Even if the driver did not survive the collision, a claim could be filed against that person's estate. In this case, the loved ones of the deceased could file a wrongful death lawsuit against the liable party in order to recover compensation. This could help alleviate the expenses associated with the accident, such as medical bills, funeral costs, damages, lost wages and pain and suffering.

The loss of a loved one is difficult and often challenging to cope with and overcome. The emotions involved often make the healing process difficult and the financial burdens that result from the accident can make it even more challenging. In these cases, understanding how and when to file for compensation could be very beneficial.
